Editor's note: I thought that this was going to be Mister Rogers sing-songish but it's actually more Suess-y but in a straight-forward and folksy way. I'll have to burn a copy and play it for my daughter in a year or so because I think it might actually scare the hell out of an almost 2 year old.

So I have been searching online for over 2 hours to find this album! My mom had it from when she used to teach at a daycare. I guess she attended one of their seminars! I am 24 yrs old now and I still remember every single word for every song! We have the album and the lyric book that came with it, but it's packed away. It was definitely catchy and as a kid I listened to it nonstop! Thanks for posting it!

Thank you for posting this! This was my favorite album as a 9-ish year old. I even had the activity book that went along with it. I have 3 sons that have only heard the tidbits I remember. Now they can learn the whole song. Fun!

It seems to be a favorite of some while others, like me, never heard of it before. I'll definitely be playing it for my little cherub when she gets a little bit older.

I can't beleive I actually found others that know this album. Joe Wayman is my uncle. I grew up listening to all his records. I'm so happy their are others that love it as much as I do!

Yep, Uncle Joe rocks.

Do you have any of his other albums?

Love, love, LOVE this album. My parents still have it from my childhood but it's all scratched from endless play! Every once in a while I still burst out into one of these goofy little tunes. Now that all my friends are having babies it's time to rediscover this!

Wait! I thought the belly button song was on here too... Anyone know where that is from? "Button, button, who stole my button, my belly button's gone you know. I have a question just for you. Where'd my belly button go?"

No clue where your belly button is or what album the song is on but I'm glad you checked in.

My mother has this one on audio cassette. She's a preschool teacher and I'm a children's librarian--not only do we both know all the words to every song, but she teaches her kids and I use them in storytime!
In my mind, the true brilliance of the album is in the multi-layered appeal of the music and lyrics. Completely singable, utterly intelligible, and with narratives interesting to children as well as their parents.
What I REALLY want is the guitar chords!
