Editor's note: Detroit is my hometown so it's only natural that I'm going to pick up a 45 with a song with that title even if it's only a B-Side. An enjoyable B side it is too. While "Cool Aid" hit #29 on the Black Singles Chart, "Detroit" didn't fare as well. Oh well, they are nice and short funky tunes to groove by in your sloppy jalopy life.

As for Mr. Humphrey, he was the drummer for the Lawrence Welk show as well as his orchestra from 1976 to 1982. He also released 3 LPs but nothing since 1981. Seeeing that he is 73 he might just well be retired.
