Editor's note: this is a pretty good folk pop album that with a change of lyrics would be any other folk pop album. But that it has religious overtures turns it into cheesecake for the high-browed audiophiles. I can agree with them that the lyrics are pretty much interchangeable with most other Christian albums of the time period but Christianity isn't exactly the place to come out swinging wildly into new terrain. After all, it's made for Christians and it's expected that you're going to tell them what they already know, as is the case with other music, but in a variation of form and style. Mission accomplished.
I came across this record on a few blogs and managed to track down some audio from WFMU's site. I would love to hear more from this honky-tonkin' caterwaulin' queen. Listen to the tracks below and I think you will too!
