Editor's note: within poetry circles Rod McKuen is considered a poetaster and a joke. Outside of poetry circles nobody really cares about poetry so I wouldn't take it very hard, Rod. That didn't sound right. Well, forget that, but listen...McKuen is a pretty good songwriter even if most of these songs do harken back to a bygone era.
