SONGS FOR A PEACEFUL WORLD

by Various Artists

1970s

SIDE A:

Let There Be Peace On Earth - International Children's Choir
It's Up To You And Me - International Children's Choir

download

SIDE B:

I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing - The Hillside Singers
Father Of The Man - Tucson Boys Choir
One Hundred Children - Tom T. Hall

download

Editor's note: no clue as to who put this one out but it's always fun to hear children preaching to adults through songs directed by do-gooders. There are a few great lines in the songs like:
"It's up to us to save the world."

and
"Your God may be dead but ours is alive
We think without him we cannot survive
Punish all the bad men praise all the good
Talk to your neighbors about brotherhood."

Good stuff eh? Yeah, not so much. It survived a seismic crack so the least you can do is listen and act like you're enjoying it.

Well, Tom T. Hall is a famous country music star. "I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing" well, that one became a giant hit record -it was used for a Coca-Cola TV commercial in the early 70s.
