Editor's note: there's an odd dynamic going on here. There's a prominent bass line in many of these folksy hymns which half the time come off as pop ballads of the 50s and 60s. At least the vocals do. Then there are the straight up piano hymns which sound more in the vein of the Christian ethic. There's also the issue of the melodica which adds highlighting to the music but seems a little out of place: I kinda like it and wish there was more of it involved! The issue of why there are three sisters listed on the back of the record and only two shown on the front cover will remain a family concern for them! I was going to suggest a wicked step-sister scenario but I don't want to get hate mail when I am merely making jest.
