Editor's note: funny that the "sound man" has to be credited on this record when these sounds are readily available EVERYWHERE. Sure, he had to record and compile them all but do you really need to take credit for rain, bacon frying and washing machines washing? I know he needs to get paid and all but you'd think it could be kept quiet and nobody would have ever thought about the sound man. Actually, the only thing I'm wondering about is why nobody bothered to record the poems that appear on the sleeve very prominently. Anyway, I can't imagine most kids sitting down to learn and listen from this whether it's on mp3, vinyl or CD without force or state intervention.
I came across this record on a few blogs and managed to track down some audio from WFMU's site. I would love to hear more from this honky-tonkin' caterwaulin' queen. Listen to the tracks below and I think you will too!
