Editor's note: for a person who occasionally writes a beer blog and loves records you'd think that Oktoberfest was a special occasion for me but outside of the beer it's pretty much a bore. Even the beer isn't that great. Especially the German beer seeing as they stick to 500 year old recipes based upon some king's decree so that market prices for grains would stay higher. What I'm getting at is that I like the concept of the festival but not the actual festival. Who am I kidding... I just like the beer.
