Editor's note: I told you I didn't quit! Now I'm about caught up with my once a week quota or at least will be when I post the harp record I need to take pictures of. Frankie is a par for the course comedian for the time but he did get a little risque on this record with his use of the world queer and other euphemisms for the lifestyle. I was surprised but not shocked and though that most of his comedy was pretty good for being otherwise really clean.
Editor's note: you thought that I quit again didn't you? Haha. Too bad! I'm back and you're going to listen to this worthless shit. This is about the city of Denton, Texas and it's wonderful value to the world. Yeah, right. There's also some corny songs about it that I don't recall a damned thing about but I like what the record represents and that's all this is about anyway, oddities and endities. And yes, there is only one working side on this disc.
Editor's note: please note that SIDE A is actually SIDE 2 and SIDE B is really SIDE 3 in the 2 record set of which I only have this one record. He doesn't really make too many predictions here but from what I remember not many of them came true then or now. Maybe they did and I just don't know or care. That sounds about right to me.
I came across this record on a few blogs and managed to track down some audio from WFMU's site. I would love to hear more from this honky-tonkin' caterwaulin' queen. Listen to the tracks below and I think you will too!
