VOICE OF THE SEA

ROAD RECORDINGS
5011
MONO

SIDE A:

SHIPS: HARBOR and at SEA
Queen Mary Whistle
Tug Boats
Ferry Boats
Fishing Boats
Fog Horn
USS COLUMBUS
Departure--Putting out to sea
Whistle
Wheel House
Engine Room--Blowers
Ships Bell
Dropping Anchor
Boatswain's Whistle

download

SIDE B:

SURF TEXTURES:
Foamy (sand beach)
Pebbly beach
Rocky cliffs
Pounding storm
Quiet lapping ...with gulls and bell buoy

download

Editor's note: I thought it odd that each side of this record had an end band strip in the middle of the tracks but apparently this can be played on a binaural machine that has two "heads" which combines the ship and ocean sounds. Cool beans. Instead of that fine mixed experiment you have me abruptly lifting the needle arm and skipping to the next playable groove. Pure class. Oh well, there are a few rough spots but if you enjoy oceans and ships then this is your jam.

please use mediafie or zippyshare the d/l you currently use is far to restrictive.

I use what I use for a reason: because it has an audio player. Downloads are secondary and a far second at that.

Thanks for your site! Great record! I would strongly second the other commenter's suggestion! Would be nice if mediafie or zippyshare were used. 4shared is not very good for downloads, which likely most people are interested in the most. I eventually figured out how to download the files - using a firefox plug in (video download helper). Anyway, I don't mean to complain, just to suggest something that would probably be better for most visitors of your site. Thanks again!

"I use what I use for a reason: because it has an audio player." There are lots of media players. VLC Media Player app, Itunes, Windows media player, etc. Would still be best to be able to easily download the files. After the download, there are plenty of easy to use free audio players available. ... Anyway, thanks again for your site and the records you've posted - some interesting things here. Thanks for that!
