Editor's note: I don't actually own this record but I want to share it just the same. Mostly because I have maintained a blog for some years concerning the place that this record was distributed from: Wayne County General Hospital which was better known in the Detroit area as Eloise. It was long an asylum, poorhouse and infirmary having ceased to operate in the 1980s. Alter Ego & Friends was actually Charles Schneider, Jr., the son of a doctor and laboratory researcher who worked at Wayne County General for many years. While I've been unable to determine whether Charles Jr. was ever a charge at Eloise or that he recorded the album there it is fairly certain that he was a long-time sufferer of mental illness.
